Günther is Professor of Cognitive Science at CEU. His main research interests include perception-action links, joint action, sense of agency, social cognition, and problem solving. He is the coordinator of the ERC Synergy grant `Constructing Social Minds: Coordination, Communication, and Cultural Transmission`(SOMIC). He received his PhD from Hamburg University in 1997 and then became a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research at Munich until 2004. Before he joined CEU in 2011 he held faculty positions at Rutgers University, the University of Birmingham, and Radboud University`s Donders Institute.
